Hi! I'm Jhoneil Bryan M. Jardinero, 20. One small practice I hold myself to is refusing to litter and calling it out when I see others do it. It is tempting to walk past and assume it is someone else’s job, but picking up trash and reminding someone to use a bin feels like my way of taking responsibility for the environment I am part of.
That matters because ecological balance depends on countless small choices adding up. A piece of plastic in the street does not stay there, it clogs drainage systems, pollutes waterways, and disrupts the systems that keep soil, water, and wildlife healthy. If we take care for the environment as optional, the balance tips toward breakdown. Keeping waste out of nature is not just about keeping places clean; it is about respecting the cycles we rely on for food, water, and air. Protecting that balance starts with the habits we refuse to normalize in our own hands.
Hi, I am Louise Belle B. Llanza. I join and attend small events that help protect the environment and support the community. I participate in clean-up drives in our barangay, and I also refrain from throwing trash anywhere because proper waste disposal helps keep the surroundings clean and safe.
I also join groups and organizations that promote environmental awareness, such as the YES-O Club during my senior high school years and the recently joined 4H Club Lag-on. Sometimes, organization activities overlap with school responsibilities, but I am eager and willing to participate in actions that benefit the environment and the community. These actions are important in helping stabilize the ecosystem because they reduce pollution, protect living organisms, and help maintain the balance of nature for future generations.
My name is Christian Jay B. Marmol, and I am 21 years old. I am a development worker at Reboot Philippines Renewable Energy Transition Institute, where I focus on organizing communities and supporting policies for a just energy transition in the Philippines through an intergenerational lens. Through my work, I help strengthen climate change education and influence policies for just energy transition by co-designing, co-developing, and co-implementing programs with communities and stakeholders. These actions are important because they empower people to actively participate in protecting ecosystems while promoting sustainable and equitable energy solutions for present and future generations.
I am Justin Rose G. Madlos, 21 years old. As a person who loves green specifically nature, I help stabilize the ecosystem in my own simple ways. One example is throwing my trash properly in my mini trash bin, a habit I learned from one of my professors. This small action helps reduce pollution and keeps the environment clean, which protects plants, animals, and people. Even though it may seem like a simple act, small actions can create a big impact in maintaining a healthy and stable ecosystem.
