Food Chain 101

Every living thing depends on another organism for energy and survival. In this activity, learners will explore how energy moves through an ecosystem by observing the relationships among plants, animals, and other organisms in a food chain. As you watch the video, pay close attention to the order of organisms and think about how each one plays an important role in maintaining balance in nature.

Procedure:
1. Before watching the video, predict which organisms start a food chain and explain why.
2. Watch the video carefully and identify how organisms are connected in the food chain.
